Wonder Cream

If you are reading this & you haven't heard of Sudocrem then WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!
It was only yesterday that I was layering this wonder product onto my boyfriend's midgie bites, which may I add worked a treat. On discussing the product tonight I took a trip down memory lane with my Mum when she used to cover myself & brother in it when we were younger.

Sudocrem is a market leading product for treating nappy rash. It helps to soothe, heal & protect the baby's delicate skin from further irritation. From this one purpose Sudocrem has grown & is a must have product now not only for Mothers looking to treat their baby's bottoms, but now to also help them look & feel their best as well as having built in skin benefits for both male & female that keeps you asking "Where do the benefits end?"

This nifty little number is new on the scene, the Sudocrem comes in a NEW sleek compact 30g tube that is a treat to pop in your handbag for daily access. It's quickly becoming the must have beauty product. With a celebrity following from Cheryl Cole to 90210's Jessica Lowndes this staple wonder is truly making it's way up the social ladder.

Only a thin layer is required for maximum effect, only apply if a larger sore is needing treated.
Sudocrem can be used for a number of things:
  • Acne
  • Bed Sores
  • Burns
  • Cuts & Grazes
  • Rashes
  • Insect Bites
My own personal favourite use of the cream is beauty favourite;
Apply a fine layer of this to your face before bed time, it makes the perfect face mask.
In the morning, you will have beautiful dewy skin that Kate Moss would be jealous of.

You'll find this wonder cream at any leading pharmacy at a STEAL of a price
£2!!!

You can't argue with that for tip top looking skin.

Hottest Ticket In Town

Ladies Day
at

Despite the horrible weather that descended upon us all.
Ladies Day at Musselburgh Race Course was in full swing last month.
I was very happy to be invited along as press on behalf of
Edinburgh Online Fashion Week

All you beautiful women didn't disappoint with your stunning dresses,
striking fascinators and great racing day spirit.

The number of beautiful gowns I seen was incredible
along with amazing fascinators & head pieces. I managed to
grab myself some ladies for a quick chat under the safety of a gazebo. The champagne was flowing when I arrived & each woman had their own unique style and thoughts to share with me.
The first group that I managed to get my hands on for some quick fire questions were a lovely bunch all from Emma Combe hairdressers in Whitekirk.

L-R Emma, Zoe, Sarah, Vharri, Kimberly, Jenny & Lisa.

First up was Jenny McLaughlin from Dunbar
Jenny described her general style as quite girly with the use of floral fabrics being a big staple to her.
Her outfit she was wearing on the day was from Bank & French Connection.
This was Jenny's first time at the races as despite the weather she was loving the atmosphere
that was buzzing around Musselburgh.

Next was Zoe Dawlan from East Linton
Zoe's dress for the races was from Bank & her shoes from Kurt Geiger.
Her favourite high street store had to be Topshop as they're always on trend with affordable catwalk copies.
A celebrity style that Zoe most admired at the moment was the wonderful Rita Ora.
Rita's fun loving style was one that Zoe loved,
combining clashing prints & funky hats Rita always looks fashionable & street chic.

Sarah Logan from North Berrick
Sarah's outfit was from River Island & Topshop.
Her fascinator that she was wearing was very interesting, on asking more about it
I was told that it was hand made, as were another two girls.
I thought this was an amazing feature and idea & gave each outfit that added something special.
Sarah's style inspiration was the lovely Fearne Cotton.
She combines that girly feel that we all love
along with adding in some edgy punk rock to create looks that are simply iconic.
 ---

Both designers that created the fascinators were :

Willoughby Rose Millanry
&
Rhona Craig.

As the weather continued to set a dampner on the greenery one thing that wasn't deflated
was the merryment of the guests.
I took a stroll along the inside of the betting stations & bars to find more colourful frocks
and ladies in very high spirits.

Below is a some more shots I took with my trusty Canon,
more beautiful fascinators & dress detail
were to be found along with some fun loving ladies looking to have a good time.

L-R Karen, Fiona & Tracey

"I loved the combo of the feathers along with the laced detail on Tracey's dress. It's a statement piece that I think can be worn to many ocassions."

I'd just like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone I spoke to on the day.
I hope you all enjoyed yourselves had as much fun as I did.

Who needs Paris or Milan when you have Ladies Day at Musselburgh Races.
The Fashion Forecast on the whole was a scorcher.
One I'm very happy to report back on.

Festival Survival.

As we all know Festival season is fast approaching, Rockness is this weekend along with T in the Park just being around the corner as well as many more up & coming camping weekends away.

When heading off for a (hopefully) sunny weekend away with your mates, lapping up the music & getting down with the general festival festivities (new word) I'm sure you all want to look and feel your best.

Below I have a survival guide with a range of products that are a must have for getting away. Not too pricey, small enough to carry around along with lasting power that will have you looking Rock Chick Ready until the early hours.

Yes..I did just say "Rock Chick Ready"...LOL

_________________________

Nivea Visage Tinted Moisturising Day Cream

£3.66 from Boots

This lightweight tinted moisturiser is perfect for all you festival go'ers. It's a get up & go product that brightens up your complexion & evens out skin tone. It is applied exactlty like a foundation but with added benefits. It also keeps skin hydrated for 24hrs along with protecting against UVA/UVB rays.

Barry M Coloured Mascara

£5.19 from Boots

These fun, quirky mascara's are great for whenever you feel that you need a pop of colour in your life. They go on a treat & afterwards you have beautiful Crayola Dip Dyed eyelashes. Coloured mascara isn't for everyone but for a one off festival look I think they tick all the boxes.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

£2.00 from Boots

This product doesn't really need much of an introduction to be honest. It's probably the best dry shampoo out there, or that I have ever tried. A few sprays in the roots of your locks when they're looking a tad under the weather does the trick. A festival essential in my opinion.

Vaseline - Rosy

£1.99 from Boots

Vaseline ; A staple handbag product that now comes in a variety of different tins. (Blue, trusty original. Yellow, Contains SPF, Green, Contains Aloe Vera) This Pretty in Pink version gives your lips the ultimate vaseline kiss of life along with adding in a pop of rose tint which is something that no girl can disagree with.

__________________________

There we go, 4 cheap, cheerful & fantastic products that are a must have for your summer festival handbag.

I hope you all enjoyed my small beauty survival guide.
Ohh one last tip ;

ENJOY YOURSELVES!!!

Te veré luego

Creative Madness

Evening All..
How AMAZING is this weather?! It's quite literally insane. I can only guess that it shall last for the week & then be gone but if you can manage it (Unlike me) get yourself out & top up the tan.

Yesterday was a fabulous day, and not only to do with the weather.
I teamed up with Jennie Lööf again for another collection of hers to be showcased on ASOS.

The day went so ridiculously smooth & we even finished AHEAD of schedule. Must have been the change in Mother Natures mood that had us all working a lot harder
(If that's possible) ha.

I've got some sneaky behind the scenes photo's to post from the day & of course, one which is above I'll be sure to post all finished items up her once they're launched online like before.

Props to the full team for having the day go like clock work.

Below is model Miss Sara Cahoon working the electric blue lips that she loved ever so much.
Lipstick - Diciple by Illamasqua
I then applied Illamasqua's Liquid Metal in Superior over the top to give it a metalic look.

Next is Miss Tuma Keke Nissi showing off Jennie's beautiful Vintage Summer Dress.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished products as usual I know they're gonna be great.
Thanks to everyone for a fantabulous day, I look forward to working with you all again.

Drag It Out

HELLO - HELLO - HELLO :-)

Woah, it's been a while since I last updated this little sucker.
I've been an extremely busy bee along with sunning myself up in Spain lately that I've literally abandoned by poor little blog.

- - -

This is just a quick update of a look I done one night on myself back in April.
It's been YONKS since I done a self design in the comfort of my own little bedroom, taking be back to the days when I had all the time in world to play around with crazy ideas and chuck them on my face.

I thought I'd go all out this time around & decided to be a Drag Queen for the night.

If you wanna try it out then here are the steps below.

  • The look consisted of a LOT of foundation. (Illamasqua Rich Liquid 115)
  • Layer upon layer was added to my face until it resembled a blank canvas.
  • I could then contour my nose and cheekbones with some dark bronzer. I also created a drimple in my chin with this as well. (Illamasqua Duo Bronzer)
  • My eyebrows were created with (Smashbox Brow Tech - Brunette)
  • I then used (Illamasqua Concealer in Black & White) to eyeline my eyes and fill in under the eye to create the look of them being larger than normal.
  •  I finished off the look with (Elizabeth Arden Lip Crayon in Natural) on the lips outlining around the mouth to make it larger and shadowing underneath with the above bronzer.
  •  & Finished with a slick of (Smashbox Clear Gloss)
 - - -

Of course the hair is not mines either. It's actually a Clip On Fringe that I had applied to the front of my head backwards & parted down the middle to give the look of a full head of brown hair.

These are available in all Sally's/Debenhams/Boots for around £8.

If anyone does decide to go ahead & give the look a bash then please do & send me a photo via email so I can have a look. I'm always interested to see other peoples work.

Until next time bloggers,
Amy x
